The Power of Expectations Part 2

Romans 4:17-21
That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb. Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
In her story she enjoyed two “immediately’s”
- Immediately she was healed
- Immediately Jesus turned to find her
You hear, you say and you act – but nothing seems to have changed.
God will not be rendered down to a formula that can be practiced without thought,
- Faith Is Lived In Community But Walked Out, Worked Out Individually.
Abraham had no recorded suddenly’s
III. The Cornerstone Of Faith Is The Character Of God.
Without this conviction it will all crumble.
Our faith is focused on HIS Character not a calendar or a clock.
Give praise for what He is doing while you are waiting.
Expectation has no expiration
- Hope – Means To Wait For Salvation With Joy And Full Confidence
That’s faith Dancing before you hold it.
To survive the sunsetting on your hope without becoming heart sick – you must have a sure foundation for your faith
